How much does your race bike weigh, and to what extent do you think your bike weight contributes to your racing performance in your current racing category?

No 41 jokes please

Seriously though, my race bike is a sliver under 18 lbs. Who gives a ****? Tom Boonen won P-R in 2009 on an 18.5 lb Roubaix. All things being equal, of course lighter is better, but geez, do we really need to talk about it? It makes sense to want to lighten up a race bike. I know I'd like to. If you want suggestions on doing so, there's a tech thread devoted to these things.

Honestly, no clue. Light enough to not feel heavy, I'd guess somewhere in the low 16's??. It isn't holding me back.

Idk and idc. Jk I care. I raced my commuter recently and didn't do that great, it's probably 20 lbs or more. And 8 speed. It's about 10% slower up steep climbs.

23lbs. Good enough to be competitive as a pro.

13.5 ish - but then with the lead weights 6.8kg. I'm packing steel skewers just in case. Easy USA race dress could be < 13#.
This is primarily due to a wheel set that is about 500g lighter than most others.

You didn't say you were a pro, but I was wondering what pro team is issuing 23# bikes?

Mine's just under 17lb, but it's an aero bike not a weight weenie bike. There are no mountains around here; speed on the flats is more important, so a more aerodynamic bike makes sense even if it is a little heavier.

RR bike ('14 Madone 6.2)- 15 lbs, 6 oz (I only know because I happened to throw it up on a scale yesterday)
Crit bike ('10 Cervelo S1) - 17ish? or 18 pounds I think.
TT bike ('09 Cervelo P3) - 18 lbs, IIRC

It doesn't matter, I suck equally on any of the 3.

As it is right now just over 17 pounds, with a set of Mavic Aksiums. Once I can get a Stages Cannondale crank arm and a set of race wheels Im sure it will be closer to 15. With just the Cannondale crank its a fuzz over 16..the Quarq adds a pound to it

Maybe 18lbs, 19? 2009 CAAD9, 32 spoke kinlin/shimano/PT wheels. The bike is the least of my obstacles.

I threw my beater Rockhopper commuter on a scale at the LBS once for fun. I think it was around there.
