A good app for monitoring calories, sugar, etc.
Just wanted to share this info, not sure if anyone has brought it up before, but I downloded this free app for my iPod Touch, from the iTunes app store.
It's simply called Calorie Counter, by Everyday Health, Inc. It also records how long you've been exercising, namely biking. I've found it very helpful to keep from backsliding too much, especially when it comes to sugar intake. This keeps me on track.

That is, you manually enter how long you've exercised for that day, and at what level.

MFP also integrates with the bodymedia devices:
https://www.bodymedia.com/Products/Le...-BodyMedia-FIT
A little OT but:
Somebody local was giving away the bluetooth bodymedia device as they never used it. I was 'lucky' enough to be the first to ask for it. It s basically an armband that tracks everything you do including sleep. Its just 'ok' as you are charged $7 a month to get to the data. If I had paid the $140 it retails for (the device itself) I wouldnt be as happy. Im still in the 'jury is still out' camp. However MFP is awesome at counting the calories for you and applying it to your bodymedia account.
You certainly dont need the BM device, just thought Id mention it and I dont think Id buy it given the choice.

For the Windows Phone people - I use LiveScape. I think it was five bucks. Similar to all the others out there, with some added features.
Built in pedometer function based off the phone's tilt indicator.
Can use phone's GPS to track cycling time/distance.
Can still manually enter time, intensity, type of exercise; can manually enter calories burned as calculated by another device.
Has a nifty percentage breakdown (like most) for your daily intakes.
Nice goals calculator.
Great online repository of food items with online searchable db. Makes a quick-list of foods you consume most often.
