Yeah, there's a lot of that but it's still a fun place for me to visit every 10 years or so.

Hahahaha. No, I get that. A bunch of dudes in a bar sining old college war songs. That's real. I can also enjoy a movie that features "Street Performers" because they are real.

The ones that bug me are when a character is telling his toddler son about their money troubles and he breaks out into a woeful sorrow number. Or when Tom is telling his buddies how much he digs a girl and they all start singing and snapping their fingers in celebration.

We get 7/1 (Canada Day) off work because the CEO is Canadian, so I went on a 4hr/70mi z2 ride, got a haircut, and went shopping for some new jeans and polos. It's been a pretty productive day.

God bless Canada!

Bailed on the Wednesday night group ride. My old shoulder injury started acting up; rode about a mile and couldn't see riding 30+ more miles with this agony. Time to see the doctor, I guess...

Dude, take my word for it. Come sit on my front porch if you don't believe me.

Here's an example. I was dining at my go-to pizza place a few blocks away in the French Quarter, where they usually pump classic Motown over the sound system. Two NOPD officers sitting at the next table. Marvin Gaye comes on. One of the NOPD's closes his eyes, throws his head back, and starts up...

I'm sorry. I didn't say it because I thought it would be obvious, but New Orleans doesn't count. It's off limits. It's in a perpetual state of party, so it has to be eliminated form the study.

Wish I would have time to rent a bike to go pedaling around! Instead it'll be eating and shopping and lazing about, I think, since I'm only there for 3 days.

Interesting! Was just in Santa Fe this past week and randomly met and chatted with one of the Opera directors while at 2nd Street Brewery.

Well I went, and thought the pastries were pretty good. So were the crepes. My cappuccino was pretty standard, though, and I think I could do better at home.

Headed down to Fiesta for 5x5' at 112% before the day's festivities began... bad idea. It was too crowded with cars.

Instead I did one hot lap (10'), then my 1hr coastal loop, hammering when I felt like it. Ended with one hard effort 130%/3.5min up Balboa.
