My two Fujis. One, my commuter, the other, my trainer/racer.
Here's Thrill. Named after Will the Thrill (SF Giants). 2014 Sportif 1.3
And here's Banshee. She was a screaming deal. And her CF wheels like screaming too. We're in love.

Looking to upgrade wheelset . what do you guys recommend .currently Oval 303 (came with the bike)
Considering,Mercury m5,Reynolds Assault slg(am told they r good but problematic),HED Jet6 and ZIP 404 Firecrest.
Limited budget ,so looking for best all around wheels for my money. Appreciate any thoughts and or recommendations .

I have a good friend who owns a shop and has told me to stay away from Reynolds wheels. He gave me the details but I don’t remember the reason. I just stay away.

Didn't realize this thread existed until it got necro'd.
My custom 2017 Transonic Elite with Ultegra R8000 and Venn (Velocite) Alter 44 wheelset :

The pic is a little old but most of the parts are still accurate, except for the saddle which I have swapped for a Fizik Arione R3.

I went with Shimano Ultegra 6800 wheels and I'm very happy with them. A major improvement over the OEM wheels. To some people they may seem heavy (1620 grams) but for me they work just fine. Paired them with some Michelin ProRace 4 Endurance 700x25 tires. Have put about 4k miles and haven't had a single issue with them.

Haven't posted in this section for a long time but I have a question. BD has the SL 3.2 on sale for $999. On the Fuji website they have a nice description of the SL frames but I've found nothing that compares the C15, C10 and C5. I'm sure as you go down the weight goes up but does anyone know the real differences? Supposedly this bike weighs 18 lbs which seems kind of heavy for an Ultegra bike. I don't know much about the wheelset but it appears to have butted spokes which would indicate they're probably decent. I don't mind a little extra weight of it means the frame is less crack prone.
Save Up to 60% Off New Road Bikes - Road - Fuji SL 3.2 Full Carbon Ultegra Road bikes
In the specs it says the spokes are straight gauge, 14ga. But they're clearly butted.

I just upgraded them from the get go to Shimano RS-81 C24s. Bike was very fast. I did a 4,000 ft elevation ride on it, climbed like a champion and descended with confidence. I had the 2016 model "Altamira 1.1" and it was Ultegra and the usual Oval cranks etc.
I paid $999 for a C10 bike though--a Fuji SL 2.5 2016 (105 group) that was on sale at Performance Bike and then I got a bunch of points and upgraded to a nice wheelset for free (a Shimano Ultegra wheelset). I think it is like 17.5 lbs or so.
Looks like they are down to just a 54cm frame: Fuji SL 2.5 Road Bike - 2016 - Performance Bike
Either bike is excellent, just get rid of the bad wheelset and tires (not that you can't ride it but the wheelset upgrade made the biggest difference for me). They are great bikes and paint job was very nice too.
