Black or white ZG's?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

BTW: what I wonder if it'll look good with the black one on the front and the silver one on the back. I have a chance to buy a single zero gravity caliper off ebay.

What pads did you end up getting, those look like Swissstops?

I like the white/silver as it adds detail to the bike.

Yeah, those are swiss stop yellow king's.
They look pretty neat with black calipers cause the yellow peeks out of the window. But I painted the back of the brake pads black so you have 2 black windows peeking out, which seems to look better.

This was quite possibly one of the most worthy OCP questions I have seen in a long time.

Whichever you decide, they will ook great either way. However, since the bike is Ti (so it's not a weight weenie issue), I think those white ones seem to go a little better for some reason. Even though they black comes with Ti hardware.

Perhaps I should hold back on my "Should I spend another $60,000 for a higher exhaust note on my $600,000 pagani?" poll...

Good god.. how did I become involved in this OCP thing???

I painted the back of the yellow brake pads black and they fit a lot better now.

^^^ Definitely a classic closet case of OCP.

When one actually takes time to discuss actually replacing a set of Zero Gravity brakes to a differant color to match his bike, I can't think of many things more OCP than that.

Well technically since I haven't used it in a big ride yet, the shop'll just swap it out for their black ZG's and I pay the cost difference.

Come on now, a little bit of jealously is nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm jealous of his IF's too.

I like the silver/gray better. It makes it easier to see the detail work and the milled out sections in the brakes. The round holes almost dissapear on the black brakes. They are nice looking brakes, make them easy to see, they still are not flashy. The black blends in with the black wheel and the black fork too much.

In any case don't decide until you have the black cages. That might change it a little. Ride the bike some more too, see if you really like single pivot brakes with the kind of leverage you get from brifters.

Too late, I already put the ultegra calipers on my gf's bike and they grab like a mofo compared to the cheap alex double pivots she has. She says I can pry the ultegra's from her cold dead hands (after they lock up her wheels and she flies off the road).

Personally I love the matte black "stealth" look, but enough of your bike is silver/chrome to not make it matter.

Yeah, I went out for a ride with them on my old aluminium rims with the koolstop black's, after I got it dialed in, they grab just as well as the ultegras. Obviously the new handle bar position allows me a little more leverage so that helped it to actually grab better than the ultegra calipers.
