Chinese carbon hardtail frame
Are the Chinese carbon frames any good for a trail like dalby forest or will the frame just fail upon any impact I've seen one frame with good reviews and I won't be doing any jumps just trails
The frame is called a lexon carbon 29er for £300

Do you want to trust a random unknown frame made out of carbon you bought for 300 bucks, by all means go ahead and test it. I wouldn't want to do that. At least with steel you can inspect the welds but with carbon you may not be able to tell. If you are looking to save money maybe don't buy carbon, it probably isn't worth it for you if you are rooting through the bargain bin. If you are the type to buy a dented can of corn and argue about the price then carbon is not for you.

At that price point, I'd be looking at a steel hardtail frame instead. You can often find Kona Honzo ST frames for about that same amount (~$400 USD). Even if it's heavier than carbon, the ride quality will almost certainly be better.
I'd be hesitant to trust a frame of unknown provenance personally.

My biggest concern would be quality control. I'm not that a good review matters since there probably is not a process to ensure they're all the same.
A hardtail Motobecane carbon from bikes direct is almost certainly a similar design but has somewhat of warranty or assurance that it'll stay in one piece. The components they spec often are worth it, even if you end up tossing the frame.
