Heart rates
What do you average over a hard ride or race. 164 was my average over 13 miles. Max 184. Hurt like hell

Not much; it never goes very high while cycling. Today's was an average of 130, max of 166... and I didn't go over 150 until I TTed myself home at full throttle after a flat. Now running, running is a whole different game.
That's a hell of an effort for a 52-year-old though! Really it's a hell of an effort for anyone.

What one person averages has zero bearing on what another averages.
I could give my average and it wouldn't mean a thing to anyone but me.

Yep all of our HR's are going to be different. Although mine has been elevated by about 10 bpm over the course of a couple weeks due to some kind of illness.

But if anyone is really curious, I do post average and max HR in my posts on the Weekend Ride thread. It's there. Copy & paste.
I'd have to open the links and read what they say, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a high of 181 bpm. That might be my max HR, or maybe not. But I can work with that to establish zones if I want to.
This is July ...

I'm 23, for hard race efforts my HR typically averages around 187 with a max of 210 (this is also dependent on heat levels). My threshold HR is 190 and my resting HR is 40.

Typically in the mid 160s or low 170s in crits, though. 150s to160s for road races.
But heart rate is genetic and doesn't say anything about anything when compared to anyone else.

Well I can't deny that. But I assume since my longer term power is staying the same and the HR has dropped the stroke volume has increased. I think it's fairly common for the heart to grow with consistent endurance activities. Few endurance athletes peak at 20 when their HR is highest.

My HR almost always ends up averaging in the 130s for a "normal" ride which includes a lot of stop/start. 32 years old. Max I've seen in the last couple years is about 185.
If I'm on the trainer and doing a hard, sustained effort I'll average around 160 for an hour. Highest I've seen in a crit is an average of around 165 with long periods over 175. My max HR has definitely dropped in the 7 years I've been riding, I'd see over 190 in my mid-20s.

Age 38
Average Resting HR: 51
Average Riding Rate: 130-140ish
Max on rides: 170-180ish
HR is very dependent on a persons body....NEVER compare one persons HR to another. Doesn't mean a thing usually.
Ride on and have fun, that's what matters.

I only check my HR and BP during indoor interval and HIIT training sessions. No idea what it is during outdoor rides, which are mostly at much lower effort, especially in the recent sustained 100+F heat.
As other folks said, these numbers don't mean anything to anyone but me. With a funky autoimmune disorder that's blowing up my thyroid, my numbers wouldn't even apply to anyone else my age. I only track them out of curiosity.
Age: 60
Resting HR: 60-80, varies a lot. Even when I was younger in peak condition my HR was never particularly low.
Resting BP: Usually 120/70, but varies.
Max HR: 160-175, during sustained maximum efforts either in the highest cadence I can sustain for 30 seconds, or highest gear I can push at 60-80 rpm while standing for 30-90 seconds.
Max BP: Often peaks at 160/90 during maximum efforts, then settles to 130/80, then drops to anywhere from 100/60 to as low as 80/50 immediately after HIIT or other interval workout.
I avoid those kinds of efforts outdoors. It's not safe since I push to the point of dizziness and borderline nausea. I do those workouts once a week at most. I did them more often outdoors last year and after some initial gains experienced a few months of losses, lower energy, etc. My other 3-4 workouts a week are at lower sustained effort.

Today was a hard ride for me (first solo ride since I started my vacation two weeks ago). 55 years old and average of 156 bpm, max of 176. Speed avg at 28.1 km/h (17.6 mph) for 1h5m, 30.6 km (19.1 miles) and alt gain of 102 m (337 ft), cadence avg 83 (max 109).

2-hour avg for a mtn bike race is 168
None of that - on its own - is useful. But, a couple years ago, I had a theory - that the percentage of max HR was the significant number - to track, target, etc. I asked the question on an MTB race forum - "What % of your max HR do you average for a 2-hour (common XC format) race." Despite the age differences, the percentage of racers max HR was very similar - 92%.

67 years old. Had heart surgery in 2014 to repair the mitral valve. For some reason my resting now is in the low 40's and my max is never over 120. Did a ride yesterday "in England" on my Tacx Neo using Fulgaz with climbs up to 25%, and my average was 91. Never got over 100. It might help that I walk at least 16 miles a day as a mailman. I'm still really slow.
