Nice! Glad to help out (although I don't know which bike you're talking about).

As far as that Basso, I can't believe the ad is still up. Probably it's already actually sold or it's a scam or something. Personally, I'm done flipping bikes for a while. Unless it's really a screaming good deal or something. I've got enough of my own bike and bike-related projects right now, the biggest of which is trying to get my pathetic noodle-legs stronger.

Now back to the fun. I've never seen one of these before. It's like Volvo tried to 3D print a bicycle before 3D printers had been invented!

Rare Shogun 1000 Road Bike (XXL) - $400 (Nashua)

This is a vintage Shogun 1000 made in Japan likely around 1981 or so. It is XXL so you should be at least 6' 1" to ride comfortably.

It's had very little use for a long time and has low miles. This bike is equipped with the Shimano 600 groupset with downtube friction shifters. It's all original except for several new items like Specialized Armadillo All Condition 700 X 23 puncture resistant tires, new handlebar tape and new Christophe leather toe clips straps.

The hoods on the brake levers are original. They're normally dried out and flaking away for a bike this age but these are not. The Shogun 1000 was their top tier road bike of that time and was built with their higher end Tange tubing. This is a rare bike.

This bike does not need a thing except some polish and someone taller than me to ride. Email or text if interested.

21 speed?

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...118489470.html

Specialized Allez 23" Frame 700c Mavic Wheels 21 Speed - $300 (Medford)

I have a Specialized Allez with a 23 inch frame. The 700c wheels are true and the continental gator skin tires are in good shape. The 21 speed Shimano is complete with matching brakes and the gears shift very smoothly. The thumb shifters are very convenient and move easily through the gears. The brakes are tight and the bike is a great ride. 207-332-4524, I am open to cash or trade

If I was closer I'd get it just so it doesn't have to stand on it head anymore.

He mentions the two large holes in the fork but doesn't really show them. Looks like they're both in the inside of the drive-side leg. It's just tretubi, too. And without a bb...
