As a convert to the usefulness of these mini velo bikes I enjoy seeing a frame builder that takes it as high as it can go.

The Asian market can support these higher end mini velo models.

Thanks for bringing this around again. Do you own one?

That man was a big source of inspiration for me to machine weird bike parts. I really admire his work.
The modernized Le Cyclo, the desmodromic Allvit, homemade front derailleurs, he did it all.

C.S. Hirose was a big inspiration to all who knew of him, including me. It is sad to hear of his passing.

I surf the web for a lot of cycling related material, but not until yesterday I came across C.S. Hirose's YT channel. And I guess it's because it's unfortunately almost only in Japanese.

When I first started paying attention to C&V bikes, one of the first videos on the youtoobs that captivated me was a showcase of a yellow bike of his, with the desmodronic Allvit. I was hooked immediately.

Yeah, Jan Heine's blog post says his that his longtime friend, Mr. Okada, will be taking over the shop.
