I've been buying Assos kit for the past 5-6 years. On sale but still not cheap. All of it gets hand washed and line dried. I have no idea if that's necessary but it works and all of it is still in great condition.

I've been using the gentle cycle and stuffing each jersey/bib into its own separate delicate bag. I use Woolite gentle cycle liquid detergent. I wash them immediately following my ride. So far, so good.

I'm not good at all the little graphic symbols for care but it definitely says not to put it in the dryer and to wash at 30 degrees. On a jersey. I also know Assos does not want your bibs in a washer or dryer.

what are best ways to prolong life of clothing
after you ride dont throw them in the laundry basket wet or moist. Let them dry first before throwing them in the laundry basket or wash them right away. Letting it lay in the basket wet will destroy it with bad odor

All the clothes I own get washed the same way. Into the washer, add detergent, set to normal, come back later. Everything fares well, including lycra and wool. Drying is different. Some things I air dry, everything else goes into the dryer at normal setting.

Perhaps that was once the case, but per their website machine wash is fine (cut & pasted below). Then again, in the section pushing their own washing product they indicate "When laundering we recommend traditional hand washing using ASSOS Active Wear Cleanser or a mild liquid detergent." I've decided to hand wash mine in angel tears and hang dry in a hermetically sealed room.

Machine-wash is possible but always use a wash bag, a delicate cycle and lukewarm water

You're supposed to wash them in ice water??
