nice job by team one4smoke with the highest overall score plus the top two finishers (along with bonus points from bou-bou) for milano-torino. a biggie classic-milan-san remo-coming up in a few days
so don't forget to refresh your rosters. will throw out a prediction for msr the night before. here is the revised msr profile/route:

I have a team locked in that I could live with but I'm still trying to figure it out. 186 miles of racing in the heat, and who knows will a break stick or will it be a bunch sprint? I'm looking at van der poel for the win? So expensive it leaves little room for others. I'm EF heavy with Bettiol and Woods. I've been following Woods, he lives in Italy and has done a ton of training there, Bettiol in good form. I really wanted Wout on there as well. I also went with last year's #5 but I have no idea who he is, should probably look him up.

dynamite line-up of candidates for the potential win. you could pick any of twenty or so and make a compelling case for any of them. going with kwiatkowski but hedging my bets a little with a few other riders with just as much of a chance on the fantasy squad.

rooting for gilbert tho, so he can join that exclusive belgian club of those that have won all 5 monuments.

none of us had george bennett. team slow (s)pokes somehow managed to come out with the high score on the gran piedmont. we've got a biggie here
in a few days. the race of the falling leaves-albeit a little early this year...il lombardia. a classic. don't forget to fine tune your rosters before the 15th.

I'm so happy about Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig's win in the dell'Emilia Donne Elite race!!! (And, I can't wait to see a post race interview video!)

I've found you have to be careful about that Velogame rider picker... their start lists have had conspicuous errors, though they've improved closer to race start.

For Emelia, for my sixth pick, I changed my card a couple times. I had Carapaz, then Bagioli, and finally Ciccone. Would've scored a few more points if I'd stuck with Bagioli. I thought/hoped Jakob Fuglsang would win again, but maybe he was just saving his energy for the TdF Incidentally, I always pick Scandinavian riders first because... it's a game, and I thought it'd be fun to imagine managing a team whose mission is to become the preferred home of Danish and Norwegian riders (and fans, and sponsors). There aren't enough of Danish/Norwegian riders on these start lists, so I'm learning more about riders from other nations.

I'm glad for the bikeforums league. Makes this a lot more fun!

Okay! You can fill in your picks for the Bretagne Classic now.

What do you guys think... Amund Jansen and Jonas Vingegaard in a spectacular one-two finish?

Probably not, I guess, but this race hasn't drawn a lot of big-name talent. We'll probably make wildly different selections.

team Trollstigen makes it four in a row! no one had nizzolo winning it but he had 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 12th. not too shabby.

next race is the brussels cycling classic on sunday, august 30th.

https://www.procyclingstats.com/race...overview/stage

after that, it's a quiet time for the one-days until last half of september when it picks up and doesn't relent until paris-roubaix on october 25th.

quick turnaround. another reason why i posted that "6 weeks" thread. cycling/fantasy cycling fans will have a difficult time keeping up.
it will be similar to the "march madness" ncaa college basketball tourney...those first four days with like 48 games. system overload.
self-destruct mode initiated....

maan...Curtis J is bringing it. 5 in a row with the coppa sabatini. wow. solid display.

next chance for romance appears to be the worlds on sept 27. i would expect to be able to change riders on the 25th.

after that, it comes fast and furious. like...check the site every day fast to be able to change riders for the next race
because it's like an avalanche of one-day/classics racing.

it's that time to check and change riders for the worlds road race on the 27th of september. do it now and finalize the night before.

https://www.velogames.com/superclasico/2020/

expecting a few riders to be added or dropped. looks like a brutal course.

This one is rather tough. The obvious choices seem like "sucker bets." Lots of great riders with low points. Conversely, JA super high points. Hmmmmm.....

Argh and past the padded section of guard rail.

I'm in and made my selection. Yeah JA with a cost of 32? No. Uran is pricey as well. Wout went on immediately, followed by Bennett. I watched Tadej drag a fractured peloton to the line then turn around and sprint up mountain's let's see how him and McNulty fare. Threw Nans Peters in as well.

laid off the 20+ point guys to be able to slot an extra guy with the (smallish) potential for win. that means no gva, alaphilippe, wout or kwiatkowski tho. rocking the 16 and 18 pointers. don’t have a good feel for this race and really never do for the worlds but i’ll take lutsenko ftw.
