Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One was a bee that smacked my cheek and got caught up in my helmet strap and gave me a whathaveyou for good measure. The other got scooped in to my partially unzipped jersey and hit me a couple times before I could fully unzip and shake it out. Fun times.
After I scooped a wasp into my partially unzipped jersey while motorcycling I always zip up before a descent on the bicycle.

nope. Unless you’ve activated what garmin calls “battery saver” mode. I don’t have a 530 (I’m assuming that’s what you have), so it would not be a comparison, but, iirc, I get 14+ hours on the 1030 (Varia on 100%).

Edit: It is actually more than that, as I usually charge around 20% left. Once I forgot to charge and started a ride at ~10%, activated battery saver, and of course it died a block from home heading back (2.5+ ride)

I need this for my Serfas FP-200 SE
I looked on Amazon and can't find one but there is one that look like it would work. Is there any standards out there. The O.D. of the hose seems to be 3/8 inch. What matters is the thread size I suppose. Any ideas?

TIA.

Bingo. I was just poking around in my settings and battery saver was the culprit. On a positive note, I did a 6+ hour ride with nav and an array of sensors and came back with a 77% charge remaining. I guess that's the mode for me if I'm ever dumb enough to try a 500k or something.

And yes - 530

That happened to me a few years back and I went into anaphylaxis. No bueno. After a few years of getting venom shots I am “cured” of that allergy. I still hate those wasps. The culprit was a yellow jacket wasp btw. 100% evil.

Had a really good ride out to Lancaster and back. Passed numerous Amish buggies.

We should have. But did not. My friends were too serious about cycling to do any touristy activities.

Last season, a bee flew into my open, gasping, mouth. I spat it out and it stung me on the wrist. It was definitely a bee because it left its stinger and venom sac.

Shoulder. The problem is it was my left shoulder, and I'm not good with my right hand off the bars under the best of circumstances, so brushing it off was hazardous. I don't think it had time to get me good, and was probably as surprised as I was. Still not what I wanted to happen at mile 59.5. And at least I'm not allergic.

What matters is the size of the hose it connects to. All standard valves are the same size. And frankly, I bet the connecting hoses are pretty standard

Thunder. An everyday occurrence this year. We are having a strangely "normal" summer, in these highly abnormal times. Too bad we have no soil into which to plant things

Oh, I also nearly ate another insect of some sort much earlier in the ride. Still glad I got out there.

Years ago I was painting a house and had a quart carton of chocolate milk open sitting in the grass on the shady side of the house. I also had a bag of popcorn that I'd been grazing from. I took a sip of milk and there was a foreign object in my mouth. Hmmm, must've dropped a kernel of popcorn in there. OMG, it's moving!!! I proceeded to spit out a yellow jacket, who got me right on the lip on the way out! Man that hurt.

My worst insect eating experience was popping a raspberry with an unseen Japanese beetle on it into my mouth and having a nice chomp. The bitterness was indescribable, transcendant! I could taste it for days.

Those momzers are the worst, especially in the Fall when they know their worthless lives are coming to an end.
