Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You should get out a bit. Try riding outside of your bougie town- it wont take long to hit some graffiti.

Is that your bike bought from Backroads or one that was provided by Backroads only for their tour?

That's the regular bike you get from Backroads when you do one of their tours. This was from 2015, so things have probably changed but it was a pretty nice ride once I made them put my own saddle on it. Ultegra triple too. I went back and forth on whether to get an s-works roubaix instead but ultimately decided I'd rather spend $400 on something else. Anything else.

Very cool. I used to have a Backroads touring frame that was made by Fuji and was almost identical to a 1990 Fuji Saratoga. I havent looked up the company's bike offerings before, but what you show is pretty nice! No low end heay 3x7 hybrid or anything like that.

Pretty sure this mural of Robin Williams was posted before in this thread. The building it was painted on is in the process of being torn down. Last I heard there was no efforts being made to save the artwork. It's painted on a security/garage door.

I figured I would post it up even though the pic has my hybrid city bike in it. Sad to see it go.

I think your right. There's a lot of work by known artists here and they do like to travel.
