Why am I notified of a post quote when I quote someone?

Why am I notified of a post quote when I quote someone?
This is annoying and stupid. Is there a setting somewhere to make it so I'm only notified when someone quotes me?

If you click on "user cp" and then "options" on the left side there's a bunch of different check boxes for how you are notified. I think notifications when you are quoted is one of them. It's not intuitive though.

Hi everyone! I've informed tech about this and they have resolved the issue. You should only get notifications now if someone else quotes you, not if you quote someone else.

...Hey wow - not only has this been fixed, but in the list of quote notifications, all the ones where I quoted someone have been retrospectively nuked! Nice one.
