Modern Music Monday
We have days devoted to 60's - 90's music, and there have been recent threads about how modern rock isn't as good as earlier music. I beg to differ !!! Let's hear the best of 2K forward. Here's my argument that rock music is as good, if not better than ever

You Know!? For Kids!
Nicely done. Made me think back to my 20s when I searched out new music. Radio stations had programs devoted to it, as did MtV, etc
Perhaps these things still exist and I in my dotage am must unaware, but it seems that I have a harder time staying in touch with new music.

Some bands DO get better with age. Here's the latest from Social Distortion. Great high-quality video, and their current album (CD?) has great blues and country(!) influences to supplement their punk origin.

Beautiful underwater video to go with a good song. Wing suit base jumper and Italian phenomenon Roberta Mancino accompanied by pro surfer and free diver Mark Healey.

This woofer busting remix of the White Stripes (Jack White) 7 Nation Army might be recognized by some of you sports fans. This song has become an arena chant - in fact heard it from the crowd at the World Cup last night :
