There is always China with one time zone. LOL I used to split the hour diff the first day or 2.

I'm in the camp of always wanting more daylight during the evening instead of the morning. I don't have time to ride in the morning but I do at night, when I go out with the wife at night I prefer more daylight, there is just so much more to do during the evening if there is light vs in the morning. Personally I think business would get more customers if there was more light in the evening.

Just starting to enjoy daylight on both the morning and evening commutes.
From a 2008 study of energy consumption before/after Indiana adopted DST in 2006:
Our main finding is that -- contrary to the policy's intent -- DST increases residential electricity demand. Estimates of the overall increase are approximately 1 percent, but we find that the effect is not constant throughout the DST period. DST causes the greatest increase in electricity consumption in the fall, when estimates range between 2 and 4 percent.

When the governor was pitching Indiana going to DST, his two arguments were "everyone else is doing to, so we look stupid", and "it will save energy". Brilliant stuff.

I always figured that the same people responsible for telling us to turn our clocks an hour back, were the same ones responsible for bringing us Spring every year around this time.

LMAO!!! and with that they also bring us winter, well fall in some parts of the country, I don't have fall in California...or is it we have fall but not winter? I get confused living here, so I need the time change to tell me it's fall or spring! So we should leave just California with the time change and let everyone else stay on the same time year round.

I do enjoy DST once the weather turns and the ice is gone. It's lovely to be able to hit the road at 6PM and get in 40-50 miles before dark.

Well we survived. There was light on both ends of the commute last week and now like Alan_S corrected me. It was dark really dark this morning. THankful for my double light set up in the mornings. I don't mind the dusk low light I feel like my lights make more visible then. I think that it is harder for bike lights to stand out in bright sunshine though.
