Waterford Finally On The Road
To all that answered questions with my Waterford build, thanks for the help. The Waterford is finally on the road. It is a used frameset that was in nice condition that I built up. I've got a few rides on it, still dialing it in, but it has a nice lively ride, its pretty responsive. Looking forward to a season of riding this bad boy. Anyhow, some photos of the finished project. Thanks. I just completed a nice ride on it, still dialing things in, but the saddle needs to go.

Try moving the nose of the saddle up a few degrees. The way it's set in the picture, you'll be riding on your perenium and constantly feeling like you need to scoot back.

Thanks for input, I've got 2 saddles I've never like that much, the one on the bike and a selle italia turbo. I've been fiddling with the one on the bike, to me there is a fine line between to much up and too much down, been that way forever. I may buy a selle san marco regal as that has worked well on my 2 other bikes if I can't get this to go good.

Rccardr, took your suggestion and studied the saddle a bit and realized it had a wave, not a flat shape. Had to pull out my level to well, get it level. Big difference no real issues after an 18 mile ride. Thanks for making me think.

Nice bike! I too ride a Waterford RS33, custom built for me in 2008, carbon front fork, Campy Record, Ritchey. Still rides like a dream, costly but well worth it Might be the last bike I own, I'm sixty six, been riding for over sixty years. Ride safely!

The Centaur silver components look very classy against the blue Waterford frame.
Could you give a little review of the Centaur drivetrain? It looks like the Potenza parts that I have seen on a few bikes. I’m Shimano-centric before no other reason than this is what I am most familiar with but my LBS mechanic, who I respect very much - he would love to sell me some contemporary Campagnolo parts.

The Centaur 11 speed works just like it is supposed to work. The FD shifter only has 3 clicks to move the derailleur, compared to 5 for the old 10 speed Centaur, but it works fine. I think the throw is a bit longer than the old 10 speed set up, but it could be an illusion as there are only 3 clicks to get you there instead of 5 like on the 10 speed Centaur. I think if you go to the higher end Campag stuff (Chorus) you get a few more clicks, but honestly this setup works great. I don't earn my living on these machines, so don't see the need to spend more $$ to save weight. No issues whatsoever with the RD setup, it was easy to setup and shifts perfectly. For the moment I am using the Campag chain as that came with the groupset, i managed to find a used Park peening tool for a reasonable price, but I'd probably move to the removable link set up for my next chain. Overall, i'm pretty pleased with the groupset and overall build.
