I'm starting to get tired of snow. It's going to be coming down at two inches per hour tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to the HIGH of about zero degrees Fahrenheit on Monday.

The shot was taken on Tantalus Drive, in Oahu, Hawaii. It can be seen, albeit going in the opposite direction, at 10:37 of the following video off a motorbike. The beauty of this loop, other than the natural beauty, is that it's either going up or down, there is very little flat, and each loop is about 10 miles so it's very easy to work in an efficient ride, even when one is on "vacation."

There are just too many photos showing snow. We've got a photo from Hawaii, so how about one from South Florida. This was taken today on my ride to Bill Baggs State park on Key Biscayne. This is the bike path along Biscayne bay near No Name Harbor. At the time I took this picture it was a balmy 75 degrees. Sorry everyone in the path of the winter storm.

While the midwest is getting the snow we should be getting in the Rockies, Sierra, and Cascades ... those of us in the West are getting clear, dry weather. Sucks for skiing/boarding, and it's getting to be a pretty serious drought. But for now, it makes for incredible cycling for January.

^ Yea, that is nice. I like how calm the ocean appears and the rays filtering through those clouds.

Wanting badly to do more of the Cycle America cross country tour. This was taken of some grain silos in Ashton, ID. The solarization is a cool effect.

I think this is the best photo you've posted to date. Nice shot.

Caught this riding home ... a ghostly lookin power plant. Really dim, so I had to make a long exposure, holding the camera to my handlebars. Check out that ghostly figure in the lower left corner.

There is some major construction going on along the Schuylkill River Trail. How do I know it's major construction? By the size of the equipment they're using. I stopped to talk with a few of the construction workers and they agreed to let my rest my bike next to this monster for a photo. Nice group of folks who could not understand why anyone would want to be riding in single digit weather. Yet, they spend the entire day outside.

Not really a photo taken while out on a ride. But it could be. With it being so cold, put on some old vynl, play some Hotel California, and wish I was someplace warm while I'm stuck inside riding the stationary!
