Recreational urban lake conveniently served by light rail. First day of Spring couldn't have been more beautiful.

Was traveling from Portland to Seattle and diverted from I-5 to scout possible future routes. Obviously, these will come a bit later this Spring, but not too far out.

Under Construction

Bike path from Fruita to Loma, Colorado, currently under construction. The path goes around a sharp corner then stops suddenly. Several skid marks in the new concrete!

This photo should not be left unacknowledged.

Can we learn something about this bike? Weight? What is the top speed?

I've only seen one in real life, on the Silver Comet Trail here in Georgia. I tried to keep up just to get a look but there wasn't a chance.

The roads to nowhere

No point in going straight ahead; no point in going to the right. Guess I'll take the road to the left!

Did some riding in Chico, CA last week:

The north end of the Steve Harrison Memorial Bike Path

I really like the arches-- they have one at each end-- and think they are a great idea.

Nice detail.

I've been at that exact spot.

Six week cross country driving trip in 1996. We got off the interstate in Mack, Colorado to look for a store of some kind and drove around a while. Saw that exact corner and road sign.

I think the place gets busy once a year for some big cattle event and after that it is as shown in the photo?

Ha! It's exactly as shown in the photo, and the view never changes, except that in a month or so it will be slightly greener, then it will get hot and be brown again until the winter when it's sometimes white. The only traffic out here are residents, and mountain bikers looking for the justly famous 18 Road BLM trails. That's why the sign straight ahead says "No BLM Access." There's another directional sign a few meters back that says "BLM Access" with a large left arrow.
