I done ridden in that area 20 years ago while crossing the country. We camped in Osceola, WI, then ride down the MN side to Stillwater then to Minneapolis for two nights.

The scars from this years' fires are already starting to heal. Almost all of the oak trees survived, and even the scrub is coming back to life, with new growth from the roots of the old.

It’s been great riding in cool Fall weather.
Somehow hangin by the river this time of year is relaxing - full sun or in the late afternoon shade.

Haven’t seen as many salmon, but maybe i’m worse at watching.

I got to Bethany Beach DE just in time to get the sunrise. Just a minute later clouds covered the sun. 2003 Lemond Poprad, my latest ride.

Nope. The bridge between Stockton, NJ, and whatever is on the PA side. But we did ride up the D&L from Yardley through New Hope. Group of maybe about 100 total. Stopped at an apple orchard up the hill on the PA side. Climbed up Paxson to get there.

Beautiful. This is the real California. Despite the two major population centers (Bay Area / Sacramento, and LA / San Diego) most of the state still looks like this, once you escape the city limits. Your ability to earn a living away from civilization, and your patience for long drives being the only limiting factors.

Yea ... I was just telling someone that I think I would like to retire (or semi-retire) to the Central Coast. It truly is California the way it used to be. I'm thinking San Luis Obispo or Morro Bay might work just fine.

Here are a couple morefrom last weekend.

Santa Rosa Road

Foxen Canyon Road

Is that Santa Rosa Creek road that comes out of downtown Cambria and cuts over to 46? Used to motorcycle in that area quite a bit. So many fantastic roads on the Central Coast. It is dang hot inland in the summer though.

This is it.

It is in the the same area where we did that ride to the campground at Jalama and back. Beautiful area to ride!
