Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Need helping finding a new frame.

I was looking to upgrade my frame and was trying to get help. My price range is around $600. I was looking at Engine 11’s and PoloandBike but don’t know if either are that good, any pointers would be appreciated.

Singlespeed capability or exclusively fixed?
Brakes or not?
Track, street, road, dirt?
Frame material preferences?

I picked up a Spitfire Single Speed from Landyachtz in Vancouver back in July.
Put about 800km on it so far and I am really pleased with it.
If you are in the U.S., (and if their inventory is holding out) I think you can get the whole bike for your $600 budget.

ton of selections on retrogression website. All City Big Block is a good option

have you read the reviews on Engine 11?

For the track, I'd save up another $150 and get an All City Thunderdome. For street riding, I'd go with steel, like a Surly Steamroller.
