Singlespeed & Fixed Gear"I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five.
Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Dailed in, and ridden daily. Chrome Steel in the Hour of Chaos, 2011 Langster. Recently purchased stock and rebuilt. By forum logic, yeah i probably broke a few rules...but the damn thing rides like butter.

Replaced the Wabi bottle cage with a conventional Andrews King Cage. I could never get used to the way you have to press down on the Wabi cage to insert the bottle.

Great looking bike and love the color, but how do you get a fixed gear/ss going fast enough for any distance to benefit from the super aero wheels? I'm jealous 'cause I can't.

Thanks.
I don't get it fast enough, I average roughly 18-20 mph depending on the distance and elevation. Those wheels were an impulse by purely based off of esthetic reasons. They were cheap and I thought they looked cool. I honestly really don't use these wheels very often, I mostly ride my Wabi wheels.
Thanks.

Thanks. I also have a set of Wabi's and a set of custom OPs. I bought a set of old Zipp sewups but didn't rebuild them because i realized I couldn't go fast enough to justify the cost of rebuilding the rear wheel and cost of the tires so I sold them. But these look great on your bike. Your wheels and a set of TT bars and I would look really fast as I putter along
