I have a couple but they haven't made it onto the tree yet! That'll happen tomorrow.

This very apropos for me right now, my son and I just finished his present for this year a 78 Raleigh Super Course. It is his first road bike and he dug in and cleaned every grungy part I handed him. Full overhaul, framesaver and all, this has never been in his wheelhouse and I am as proud of him as I can be for bringing it on this. Turned out sweet and we are both thrilled with it. SO, any chance you can help me find one of these?

Oh, also his birthday is the 25th.

As usual C&V topics come up just as you are thinking about. I just got back from the mall (at the prodding of my wife to have some spirit) and there was a kiosk with ornaments, one was a guy riding a road bike with a helmet and plain kit. They are designed with a few blank spots on them (they are ceramic) and they write your name, year, Merry X-Mas or whatever you want on them.

I found it at the local hardware store a couple years ago. I doubt they will have it, but I am going there today and will look for one.

The brand is Lemax, but I haven't seen that particular ornament in the short search that I did.

Years ago a group of friends made ornaments for a group tree using cookie dough. I made a cyclist using a long S-shaped piece joining two wheels. They were cut out by using a large and a small glass to make the rings for the wheels. No picture.

We don't have our tree up this year but I'm sure there's a bike ornament in the stash someplace.

It will be an ornament after you punch a hole in it.

I placed a spoke order with Dan's Comp a few weeks ago and they threw a Christmas tree ornament like this one in as a freebie. The ornament itself isn't C&V, but I did get it while ordering spokes for a '91 Bianchi I'm putting together for my daughter.
