Urban Houston Century

Thought this might be worth sharing. Working my way up to an Imperial century. I think if i add a ride to Katy plus a loop around George Bush Park I can do it.

interesting route - how did you get from the finish back to your start? lol

How were the roads traffic wise? it looks like a lot of that southern section was through brays bayou hike & bike?

I'd love to get a group of people together to do a regular long distance ride that isn't a balls to the wall power stroke ride like the houston to galveston ride is - that goes maybe around the city like that or goes around the west side out to fulshear and back.

Started at my house. 43rd and Antoine. I drove to the end point, my friends house, dropped off my car. Hopped in his and we drove to my house.

Took White Oak to UHD. Rode over to Navigation and took that all the way til it dead ends. It's called Brady's Landing. then got on Brays and took it west all the way to the end. There is a little spur that heads out 59 to Kirkwood that we took to get in some more miles. The only sketchy part was going under 59 on Gessner. There is a trail north from Arthur Story Park that covers several miles. The rest were neighborhood streets.

If you are on map my ride I could share the route with you.

I think this weekend is booked and with the holiday coming up i don't know when we will be able to do it again but as i mentioned my goal is to keep adding mileage until i get an urban century. Message me your contact information if you want to join my buddy and i.
