I really like the Ive - in my eyes it is a modern approach to the basic concept of the Brompton (sharing many "inspirations) with a little bit of Birdy involved as well. Folds a little bigger but avoids the hinge on the main frame. I am not totally convinced by the folding fork as the folding process is a bit more uncomfortable/slower than I'd like. But it looks great, is of good build quality and well worth it's price in my eyes.
The front luggage system looks interesting (again an inspiration they took from the Brompton) but carries surprisingly little load with it's rating at max. 5kg including the bag - with bags between 15 and 25 litres of volume. Take this as symptomatic: There are some issues on the fine detail side, but generally the Tyrells are of great quality.

Are the ones being sold in Europe manufactured in Japan? Or was manufacturing outsourced? I am particularly interested in the CroMoly model.

Surprisingly the Tyrell bikes are made by a company named Tyrell which is based in Japan.

They are a cool brand. They do factory tours where they put on lunch and lend bikes to ride. They are really open.
