To work properly, the clamps should have claws with material removed at the center or otherwise be concave. The clamps at AliExpress seem to have straight claws. The clamps of current choice are SpedDial. They are not quite perfect yet, but getting close.

So for $40 you maybe fold or unfold it five seconds faster? I maybe old but I have more time then money. I guess buy what ever puts a smile on your face at the end of the day.
