Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ultra Macho superior road bike

Well, what do you say? Full carbon, Dura Ace. Sram Red. aero bars. Look like it's climbing well? That's because all my weight is on my seat. I'm not bent over like on a typical road bike. On the flats or downhill, I'm relaxing in the back seat, unless I need to outpace rivals in the front seat. Wheelbase is 63 inches, right between a Harley-Davidson Sportster and a Road King.

It's a thing. I'll take one, for the novelty, if it's not too expensive. Oh, and what's the point of the convertible rear seat elements?

I f you make it ... it will be as stupid as it seemed when you got stoned and dreamed it up.

As they say .... Each to his tastelessness.

But hey ... people do need tax write-offs .....

"Look! I have invented a snow shovel/beach umbrella!" "Okay, now develop something far less necessary and less potentially useful."

Did I mention, that I was unimpressed?

@roadrecumbent ... did you build this expensive monstrosity, or just buy it?

In any case ... if that is really you riding it, and it gives you joy ... fine and good. Seems to me it was the answer to a joke someone made and someone else misunderstood as a serious question .... but if ti is just a one-off freaky vehicle .... it stands on its uniqueness.

If this is planned for production .... someone once said you could never go broke underestimating the stupidity of the masses. How brave of you to test this theory.

And, after all, who can say what any of us might build if we had way too much free time?

Tongue planted in cheek ... which is dangerous because I am clenching my jaws trying not ot break out in hysterical laughter just looking at that thing.

Seems like this was done before. Or some one else did something similar a year or two ago.

I showed you the bike a couple years ago. I shortened the wheelbase 5 inches and invented linear bearing handlebars this time. The seat folds for aero dynamics, a tall back rest is needed for puhing against and relaxing aginst. It's automatic, my butt operates it! That weight is accurate. The rear seat frame is carbon plate, the surfaces carbon fiber over a light fiber epoxy soaked filler material. Carbon frame, handlebars, kevlar bead front tire, tubular rear tire, and the cables are "Power Cordz" fiber which are nearly weightless. Brakes are side-pull Tektro's with titanium bolts.

Well, I think it's neat. The bulk of folks on this forum think "customization" is putting on a color contrasting bottle cage. <yawn>

That slidey handlebar is just cool.

Why would I want one bike that does everything when I can have a whole shed full of task specific bikes?

Exactly!

Although to be fair, I read the title "macho" and saw those machine guns sticking out the front and thought.....
