New "Upgrade" Day

So as some of you may know, I was recently contemplating switching my Kona Wo from a 2x10 to a 1x11, and was asking which gears I should go with.

For the gears, I picked up a SRAM GX 1x11 11-42t, and purchased an AbsoluteBlack 32t Oval (have an AbsoluteBlack 2x Oval on my gravel bike and like it). Bike is currently in the shop getting everything swapped out and put on

Was also at the same time, looking at going from a 26" to a 27.5", and received a good deal from a local bike shop for some wheels that were taken off another bike.

For the tires to go with the 27.5", I wanted to go with the Hodogs and later on either the D4 3.8s, or if I can fit them, the D5 4.5s.

Unfortunately, my rear is only 190mm and the wheels are 197mm, so I wasn't able to get the wheels or those tires. Slightly bummed out about it .

Then last night, saw a posting online ....

I have it in the shop now getting the tires swapped from the D4 3.8s to the Hodogs (both came with the bike)

2016 model (9.6), recently purchased and used only a handful of times (funny, didn't know the guy before, but recently raced against him 3 times).

Not a single scratch or nick on it that I can see. Brakes were replaced with XTs. Also equipped with 27.5"s and the SRAM GX 1x11 10-42. Can anyone say "fate"?

Only "issue" with it, is that it has a 28t chainring, so will maybe eventually get a new 32t Oval for it.

Super stoked about this. Now I have to find a buyer for the Kona Wo

Nice find!!

You shouldn't have any problems selling the Kona for around $1000

That is USD? Hoping for a bit more in CAD. Just had the gearing upgraded (to 1x SRAM GX), and comes with two sets of wheels (JJs and studded D5s)

That is a nice trek you got there! With the kind of set up you have, what will you be using it for?

It currently has a 28t in the front with a SRAM 10-42t in the back. Although looking to change that, as I spin out easily going down the slightest of hills (110rpm+ @ 40kmh (24mph)).

Have the 45Nrth Vanhelgas on it for now. Not bad, but prefer the Jumbo Jims (which I can't get for this bike).

Bought it mostly to race with (the Wo was great for just riding), however a week after I bought it, the events that I signed up with started to cancel. So for now, I just use it to tinker around with
