Recommend alcohol to mix into protein shakes?

Because sometimes a recovery chocolate protein peanut butter banana shake could use a little special something extra in it.

asking for a friend....

I'd go neutral. Everclear or vodka.

If it was chocolate without banana/peanutbutter, then some Bailey's or Kahlua might be nice in it

Rum.

But don't mix it with tequila in the same session. That's where the trouble starts.

I'd bet in a "shake" like that, a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream would do nicely. Or a flavored liqueur such as Amaretto or Drambuie.

John Steinbeck describes trying a beer milkshake in Travels With Charley. I don't recall that he had much good to say about it.

I might stand out like a sore thumb for this, but I'm going to say whisky if you're mixing with peanut butter.

Light and fruity, vodka or gin. Dark and savoury, whisky.

You don't actually have to mix them, you can enjoy one and then the other. You have more choices that way.

I'd totally forgot about this stuff, but if you want to boost the banana flavor...

Probably takes a lot of piss water to float a boat.

skip the protein shake and cut to the chase, guiness, there is a bit of protein left in there anyway.
