Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

2021 al4 vs. driverge 5 elite

So im kinda new to biking. Used to ride a bike when i was a kid and now with quartine i wanted a all around bike for roads and maybe some light trails. My budget is under 2000. Talked to a spealized and a trek person in the area. They said go for a al4 or the diverge e5 elite trek rep said to try out the fx3 if i wanted a cheap bike. Which one would u guys recommend? I don’t understand much about bikes just want a good one that lasts me a few years.

You haven't ridden since you were a kid and you want to jump back into it with a $2000 bike?

Start with something cheaper. I usually say used, but options are limited right now due to high demand. A Trek FX2 or higher is a good option if you can find one. Once you ridden awhile, and if you enjoy it, consider upgrading to a more expensive model. Many of us do not get the first bike right and have bought different models a few times since starting.
