Found what looks like a good deal on Craigslist. A Volkscycle Mark V for $20! Never heard of this brand but $20 don't sound bad.

I believe they are a company from the 70s bike boom and that model was the lowest end model. If you want a low end bike from the 70s and want to spend money on it, this is a fine option. Me personally I wouldn't spend that kind of money unless the bike were NOS or at least really well kept and it fit me well. I can probably find a similar bike for free or at the higher end $5-10 at a thrift store.
