Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Posting about road cycling is vital, though.

This thread is utterly pointless. We all know road cycling is pointless, but we do it anyway.

Yes. Well, except sometimes in winter if you ride with studded tires.

Nipples on a man are not pointless, at least not in winter.

When I was a kid and was racing bikes (in a very much stick and ball world) I was told it was pointless. But i won. I showed them baseball was pointless. That was easy. Especially when I took the guys who stood in the outfield for hours for a bike ride. Most exercise they'd had in weeks.

I wonder how far Prince Fielder can ride a bike? Maybe if he knew he was riding to dinner...

Only when you spend thousands of dollars on a bike and all the clothing etc just to ride 10 miles one weekend a month and then come on here and act like you ride like Lance.
So yes...it can be pointless.
