Dutch Basket Bike
I picked up a se of Wald handlebars and extra large basket this weekend. The basket is almost too big. I have yet to ride loaded. It looks like I cut the rd cable a little short.

A basket more suited for a low-gravity carrier bike like a Schwinn Cycletruck or the like. A full load in that will probably be enough for the back end to flip over on itself.
With that saddle position and wide bars set that low, I'd take it this thing is a handful to ride not even weighed down, no?

binder ears of seat lug mashed together
two possible causes -
a) pillar slightly too small for frame
b) binder has been overtightened by a heavy-handed "mechanic"

I’ve decided to ‘86 the basket. It did send me down a bit of a rabbit hole with Clydesdale front forks

the large bolt and mounting plate are unnecessary
frame constructed with an ESGE plate style chain stay bridge
all that is needed for propstand mount is an M8 capscrew with a threaded portion about twelve or fifteen mm in length and a simple washer
some propstand manufacturers package their products with an M8 capscrew for fitment to frames which exhibit a plate style chain stay bridge
