Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What was your average speed for the 80-mile ride? Just curious. It was 100F here (SoCal) today, and I only did 25 in this heat, which to me seems awful. The forecast says 10 degrees cooler next week, can't wait.

Fast! BoSoxYacht is a beast! Everytime we ride together he drops me all day long, luckily he's nice enough to wait.

I rode tonight, the weather was fantastic and the wind was very favorable if you were heading south. Although it's sad when you average over 27mph on a segment and still can't get the kom - must punish legs more!

Today was a pretty slow ride(17.9mph) because my boss was having a rough day. He's been taking some antibiotics, so I guess I shouldn't rip on him at work tomorrow. Today would have been a great day to use the Bicycle Bungee.

Getting geared up for fall/winter. All I'm missing now is probably a nice neck warmer and a hat.

Yeah, clearly not an English first language company, but that's just the case; phone isn't in there yet as I had to use the phone to take the picture all of that is covered up once the phone is inside.

Bought this 2 weeks ago and have a week on the bike. Love the quality of the Thomson Aluminum stem. I got the 90mm to shorten up the reach.

Just ordered a quadlock case bundle for the bike. hopefully it comes before my day off so I can use it.

Great tires! Mine replacements just came from PBK in two weeks and a day. Was in no hurry but they came out to about 2 for the price of one. I must be doing something right because they went on very easy

Just picked one up last week, the bundle. Love it, still figuring it all out, but so far I think this is my best bike purchase this summer (other than the new Madone).

I'm not impressed by Thomson stems anymore. I've had 2 of them crack right in front of the steerer tube.
