I love it when you buy things because it introduces me to stuff I should know about but don't. I might have to do some shopping this week.

Pitlock locking skewers (set 02) and a Kryptonite Evolution 4 integrated chain lock (mini-21); the first from Peter White Cycles, and the second from Amazon. Both should arrive within the next few days.

One of my other long sleeved jerseys has thumb holes, and I simply don't use them. They don't get in the way and I forget that they are there most of the time. I suspect it will be the same situation with this jersey. In fact, I tried it on last night and didn't realise it had thumb holes until I read the info on the picture I posted today. I'll have to have a better look at it tonight!
I was more fascinated with the ventilation. I'll be interested to see how well that works.

It was so nice, in fact, that we've ordered another.

Just curious, was that a 30-mile ride that you translated into kilometres for those who prefer the metric scale? I know that Canada and Australia both use the metric system, but I thought maybe the distances for bike rides are shown in the Imperial scale there.

That was a 48.65 km ride ... I hadn't given any thought to what it might be in imperial because we don't use the imperial system here in Australia. I thought Canada was a metric country, and it is, but Australia is even more so. A large portion of the population here would struggle to tell you what a mile is. So no, we do not measure bicycle rides in imperial here ... distance is in kilometres.

Will do a full write up after I put them through the paces this weekend (metric century on saturday with about 4000ft elevation gain). Did a quick spin around the park and the first impressions are that tubeless is fudging amazing (running 80psi on 23mm tires... a clyde like me never thought this day would come!), accelerates better than my stock wheels, hubs are noisy, not as stiff as I thought it would be, though I did manage to set a PR on the short hill in my park loop and goddamn these wheels are sexy. Got complements from other roadies who were out riding.
For the weight weenies who are going to ask...
Front (wheel + tire + sealant + skewer + valve + cap + washer)
Rear (wheel + tire + sealant + skewer + valve + cap + washer))

When we rolled up at home at 48.65 km, we'd just been through two very chilly rain showers, with lots more rain threatening, and had no desire to try to round it out to 50.

I bought these on CL ($15).
And I ordered a couple KMC chains (for a couple different bikes). Plus a new Co2 inflator, and some handlebar tape.

New Park Tool SR-1 chain whip. Lots of cassette switching will be done this season.

A pair of Novara 'Round Town grocery-bag panniers, in Cobalt Blue, from REI -- on sale for $24, each. They fit perfectly on my new Pletscher "Clem" rack, from Rivendell Bike Works ($74 for the rack, plus $12 for pannier rails).

I don't know why I waited so long but I FINALLY broke down and bought the HubBub helmet mirror today. I had a makeshift mirror on my old helmet that worked great, but it just didn't work well at all on my new helmet. Wrong angle, never a good view, wouldn't stay in place. Meh. Now hopefully I'll have a clear view behind me without having to turn my head every time to look!

Lots of consumables since my last update (cables, housing, bar tape, tires,etc...), but I've made a few big purchases too. New specialized shoes, Garmin Edge 510 with cadence and HRM, and a Twin 6 jersey.
