After just shy of 10k miles, the old Forte MTB shoes finally started clicking and creaking. Loved these shoes! Cannot complain, only paid $69 for them in 2009.
They are being replaced with some Giro Privateer's that should be delivered today. Looking forward to breaking them in.

Have you considered the pedals that have the clip on one side and platform on the other?

Back went the Giro Privateer shoes...way to narrow for my foot. Went to a LBS to see what shoes are available in a wider format...Shimano M089's on the way now.

New Ritchey WCS cockpit!
The Deda stuff that came with the bike may be Italian, but it's not like Ritchey. (My favorite general component brand)

This week I got my best bike ever. Dogma F8 with Dura-Ace Di2, and Enve 3.4 clinchers. I thought my Cinelli Supercorsa was the bees knees, but this bike is freaking amazing. I'll never know whether it's the frame or the wheels but this thing is fast; descends like a demon, and when you get off the seat it just launches your. I have been riding for a long time but I did not know it could be this good. I had a Pina FP3 a few years back, which was nice, but this is in another class. I never had really good wheels on a bike before, an these Enve probably are a good part of why it goes like a rocket. Electronic shifters work impeccably. Again, I thought SRAM Red was where it was at, but this groupset is just ridiculously effective and efficient.
I continue to find people in life and in YouTube, who consider this kind of outlay foolish for non-competitive riding, but they don't know what they are talking about. If a bike is just a tool for you, plenty of cheap ones will do, but if you are passionate about both riding and bikes, an upscale bike like this let's you appreciate biking as good as it gets. I have cheap bikes and there is nothing wrong with them, but there is a hell of a difference between them and this dogma when you go for a long ride.

More silly blue bling for my bike. Only bought these because as much as I like Cinelli Cork Tape, their bar end plugs fall out constantly.

What's the problem? My previous Pinarello got destroyed in an accident and since then a higher bar helps me in the longer rides. I ride just as hard and I enjoy a good Pina just as much as when I could ride with a level stem. If I catch more wind it doesn't matter, I don't race.

Why so defensive? You just dropped a ridiculously large chunk of cash on an aero bike + aero wheels, and then say you don't care about wind because you don't race? Reminds me of when I was in grammar school and they were teaching us about oxymorons. I just think if someone is going to ride an expensive aero bike with deep section carbon wheels, might as well ride it in an aerodynamic position no? Otherwise all that wind cheating technology is going to waste.

Just picked up one of these a few days ago...pretty sweet. Syncs to either my phone via Bluetooth, or to the HR/speed/cadence sensors alone (also via Bluetooth). Nice, small, light... A simple push and everything is uploaded straight to Strava (or Training Peaks and Cateye Atlas) before I even get in the house.
Well....here's a horrible picture....
