Hello from Orange County California - Irvine
Just started cycling again after a 5 year absence. Began with a entry level road bike 25 years and upgraded it piece by piece to a mid-range road bike. Bought a hybrid and rode that till 5 years ago when I moved to England. Arthritic knees have kept me down and out of shape. Diagnosed a year ago with Type 2 diabetes got me working on my health and through hard work am free of diabetes and able to get my knees repaired. Surgery will be any time now, In the meantime riding each day to build up my strength (legs and cardio)

Welcome! My MIL used to live in Irvine so I rode down there a little bit. Great ride out to Newport Beach on the Back Bay Trail.

Welcome from fellow so cal newbie. I envy you being a cyclist in Irvine. The oc bike paths and lanes are so much nicer than those up here in la county. No graffiti, nice pavement, no glass or trash... Enjoy and stay safe!
