I think I’m about 3100 per year since ‘89. Had a few years with prostate and other medical issues that saw me down below 2000. One year at 750 was seriously sick.
Hoping for 4,000 this year.

I rode a bike all through childhood until I could drive at 16. The mountain biking craze hit so in 1995 I purchased a Gary Fisher mountain bike and got hooked. Today I have several bikes from a road racer to a fatbike. I mostly gravel grind and ride rails to trails. 6,123 in 2017 other years I never kept track but I was riding a lot.

I started tracking my mileage in May of 2013. My mileage gradually increased to my current 130 or so miles per week. I ride almost every day of the year, but I don't ride huge miles at a time. The most I have traveled on a ride is 28 miles.

I started when I was in college and very busy with school and a full time office job. I started biking to work some recreation into a busy schedule and just kept doing it. I took up touring occasionally on week long trips and have expanded over the years. I don't keep track of mileage but I drive my car less than 2K miles per year, if that tells you anything.

I honestly don't know. I've only been tracking my mileage since 2006.
But for the ~40 years prior to that that I rode a bike I didn't even have an odometer, nor pay attention to distances much.
The only exceptions I can recall were the time in 1980 that my girlfriend and I cycled from Boston to Plymouth, which I recall was around 40 miles, a distance I was totally unprepared for...and then in 1995 when my (different) girlfriend insisted that a 35 mile ride was just an "easy walk in the park" and I got home and promptly fell asleep for the next 18 hours.
But 200 miles is nothing, I was probably riding 200 miles/year when I was 8 years old.

I think I hit about 180 miles when I was about 20. Then 150+ again at about age 26.
Then a bit of a dry spell for 100+ mile rides.
About 3 or 4 years ago I hit 186 in a ride, and finally hit 200 miles last April.
Most of my rides are commutes, so distance is dependent on the destination. However, perhaps I'll try to hit a 200+ day every year for a while.

Some of my 300Ks have been 200 miles, others have been just shy of it, but my first 300K was indeed also 200 miles. It worked out to 323 km.

I think the last year I didn't ride at least 2000 miles was 1967, the year before I bought my first used 10-speed. I've been lucky enough to live in some nice places to ride, though I did make my own luck a time or two.

I did about 400 miles in 1985, gradually worked my way up to a peak of 4800, and for the past decade it's been about 3000 per year. So I guess the answer is 32 years going on 33 (since I plan on another 3000 this year.)

I started late. A bit under 4 years ago; started commuting to work by bike. At the time it was 7mi each way, I quickly built up to doing that pretty much daily (and with side trips, it was often 20+miles). These days, it's M-Th 13mi each way (without side trips). So I was over 50 when I started ....

My first year, 11 years ago, was around 2000 miles, a couple of years later 5000 and it's been 5000 - 7500 per year since then. Like OP I wondered how I missed it all of those years before that.

I hadn't done any serious riding since 1966. I bought an Atala 10 speed in 1976, but only had a chance to ride now and then. In 2015, I was living in Abilene, Tx, and was part of a Hardin-Simmons Leadership Studies Bike Ride Across Texas BRAT). I bought a bike and did about 2500+ miles training for the ride. The ride was from the Gulf to Texline, about 900 miles. Unfortunately, my son's near fatal accident cut my participation at 400 miles. Since then, I have done about 2000 miles every year, but it might be something less than that this year.
