I love it. Great looking bike. Can't go wrong with the Shimano Saint pedals either.

In honor of the saddle ...

Looks good. You obviously knew enough to remove the warning decals, dork disc etc. I have those pedals also and they're great. About my only suggestion would be to install a chain catcher. I'm not sure it's 100% necessary, but with that finish, anything gouging into it is going to leave a mark that would be hard to cover up.

Beautiful pics! My only gripe with the Saints is that they're heavy, but they are bomb proof. Perfect for this kind of bike. Looking forward to a ride report. Lots of glowing reviews about the 2017, but haven't really heard anything about the 2018.

Thanks! I am really getting back into biking full bore. Too bad I picked the wrong time of year in WI. But, I'll be out any chance I get when the temp is over 20 and the streets are clean. I'll be posting a lot about the rides and upgrades I do.

I've never knew they were building those into new bikes like that. To me that's what it appears to be. If so, you may want to adjust it closer to the chain ring to minimize the gap.

Cool. Thanks. I will do that.

Just looked. I'm gonna have to saw off an allen wrench to get to it. Can't quite reach it through the gear set.

VERY, VERY, NICE!

Any chance it spent some time on a scale yet?

I'm jealous!

Thanks Wanderer! I'm going to borrow a scale from work tomorrow.

Just had a chance to take a little ride. It was 26-27F but a bit windy. I did about a mile. I'm going to have to raise the shifters and brake levers. The front derailleur needs an adjustment too. I'm getting a little of that dreaded chain clicking. She rides like a dream! Very comfortable. Road bumps aren't bad at all (coming from a 7300 with suspension fork, 35's and suspension seat post/more heavily padded seat). Very happy overall!

It’s there to keep the chain from dropping past the small front gear, it looks to be adjusted correctly. Going from a 50 gear to a 34 gear can cause the chain to drop off the chain rings once in a while. I have one on my 2017 FXS6 and I’ve never dropped a chain, so I guess it’s working.

as mentioned, it's a chain catcher to prevent frame damage in case your chain flies off.
