Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks for that report, I also share the problem. It happens when the quoted post is on a previous page, and only to some people. The others I suspect are asleep at the wheel.

Anyone else? The more complaints the faster it will get fixed.

It seems intermittent; it didn't work when I tried to use it on the post that quoted Metallifan33's first post on the thread. It did work when I clicked the one in my first post on this page of the thread, which went back to a previous page.

Have a most excellent ride.
I rode last night after work ending about an hour and a half after sunset in light drizzle and 38°. Embarrased to say that it took me so long to get my first ride of the year in.

I got a new mount for my light that attaches directly to the front rack in front of my handlebar bag, and it worked wonderfully! My light finally doesn't slowly creep downwards

No riding today though. Winds 020° 23kt G31kt per the Rockford METAR. Freezing drizzle with obvious ice on the trees so I assume on the roads as well.

1-3 inches of snow and continued strong gusty winds for the rest of the day. Lovely.

Fake miles for me, too. When I don't know what the hell else to do, I revert to over/unders. It's amazing how you can look forward to relaxing a bit at 95% FTP.

Man, going on the road/vacation just throws your diet out of wack.

Despite logging my biggest mileage week evar, I came back from VA about 5 lbs heavier than expected... and since then I've steadily dropped weight, close to a pound each day, so that I'm back to where I'd expected to be. Maybe the salt content of prepared food had me retaining excess water? Maybe it was just foods with high uh, "residuals," as they say? Dunno, but glad to see that I didn't actually go backwards over that stretch.

It's supposed to stay cloudy but still get to 40+ degrees American. I expect much of the snow will be off the roads, but will unfortunately ice over tonight. It's then supposed to get to a high of almost 60 tomorrow, so I'm hoping I can get a ride in then.

I’ve managed 5 rides so far, could have had a couple more if I didn’t have a nagging cold. Being retired, I can pick the best weather of the day to ride.

Like you, we’re getting winds and rain which is soon supposed to become ice and then the 1-3”. Heading for the trainer soon.

Not at all common. If this was a weekday, schools and such would shut down. I see a good snow like this maybe once every 2-4 years.
