Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am mostly recovered from my shot but still a little crummy so decided to skip today’s ride.

Both daughters have concerts today at 3PM, so mrs datlas and I have to divide and conquer. She gets to go to the better one. I am taking one for the team.

I think the new wheels are appreciably faster, but the tires are new and better, it was breezy, and I don’t have power measurement on the bike. What’s for sure is they change the weighting and handling and aren’t quite as comfy and sure-footed as the Ardennes+ with their 21mm ID and 65 psi. These are 18mm and I had them at 80/75 today. They also get a little twitchy in the puffs.

I thought it was illegal to have such low pressure in road cycling.

Some of my unenlightened club mates still pump up to 115 because that’s the number on the sidewall. Sad!

I would hope Velo Vol knows better and is just being obtuse.

Ideal gas pressure law be careful, you'll get a suspension, a fine, and lose a draft pick

I've always inflated to 90-100, and I'm not going to stop now.

This symphonic music is different than we play in KCB. We have a hard enough time getting people to come to concerts when we play somewhat familiar tunes. LOL

Seems like they had a pretty good crowd. Maybe is was because of the strings.

On paper, it's a beautiful late winter day in MN - mid-40s and sunny. In reality, it's damp cold, windy and somewhat miserable.

Since it’s a University with a music program I think you will get more traditional music.

Oh, and in the Only in MN category: I overheard a man at Chipotle, when asked about his choice of rice, answer with, "uh, wild rice?"
