Iso:
ISO: Light, meaning non-heavy friction shifters that clamp onto the downtube.
I bought a set of Suntours, NOS, but they weigh as much as the frame.
I'd love to just get a nice band and then add some nice shifters, but this is new territory to me (70's, no braze-ons anywhere). Not sure if it's that simple.
Ratcheting is a bonus, but if it adds weight, not.

What kind of bike? Both the early Dura Ace, and Suntour Cyclone were pure friction, and pretty light weight. (Good quasi-drillium from the factory.)

I have a Shimano band, NOS, takes any kind of shifter that uses a traditional braze on, if you need it.
Might also have some Shimano shifters on a band, perhaps 6 speed Exage (they can be switched to friction and can be polished), let me know if that floats your boat.

I have a set of light attractive and NOS Rino shifters, in case they are of interest. I think that I know right where they are. Will check today, if you wish.
Nope, just looked for the shifters and they are for braze-on mounts. I do have a few sets of Suntour clamp on in great shape, one set is lighter and lighter looking than the rest. I also have Shimano 600 clamp on shifter sets also.
Do any of those interest you?

Do you have pics? I'm curious if there's a band that has just one stop (thinking 1X application here).

No pics, has two stops. One side could be removed, but the result would not be very nice looking.

Rob, I have a pair of Simplex Criterium shifters. I have to dig through my drawers of crap, but I'm pretty sure I know where they are. This is not a picture of them. I'm pretty sure they look like these. They're good shifters and have no excess weight.

Huret makes a single-side shift lever clamp. The Huret lever is heavy steel, but you can remove than and mount any Campagnolo-standard shift lever on the boss:

As long as its designed to fit over a standard Campagnolo-type lever boss, it ought to work. But @RobbieTunes specifically asked about friction levers.

Aren't all '70s shifters drilled? I didn't think we let any escape... More than once,I cut and filed them too far and then had them fail, yanking too hard, jumping into a lower gear at the bottom of a hill. (slow learner)

Couldn't get past the oversized look. NOS to me, mounted on a bike for less than a month. Lemme know if you're interested. Pre-drilled and I'm pretty sure they don't come any lighter.
If trade is an option, I'm currently seeking a '79 Raleigh appropriate stem...

I had some "Campagnolo" shift levers that were slotted that I got from a bike shop. The actual brand was always suspect, they got rid of the lettering.

@RobbieTunes -- Well let's see what we can work out then.
@JohnDThompson -- Thanks for the Huret single-side clamp tip, above; your post totally changed the long-term concept for my current build and I chased one down on ebay last night.

I opened the box that came with some hubs and in there was a set of shifters. Tricky clamp (endless band) but they are what I'm looking for. Exactly as pictured above.
Thanks, all. And thanks, 3speedslow
