I’m just a cheapskate hoping to...
Hoping to relive a little of my youth, and reduce a little of my middle!
After a hard fall and a decent hip injury (deep bruise, no fracture) a few years back, I’ve gotten lazy about exercise, and I’ve noticed that if you see me in profile, you can kinda tell that. Walking more than a couple of miles can start to irritate the hip unless I’ve done everything perfectly, and right after the injury, my therapist had me on a stationary bike as a way of warming me up before she tried to maim me in whatever way she’d dreamt up for that day. That made me think, hey, maybe I should get back on a bike!
it was my primary mode of transportation all through high school, but I pretty much dropped it after that.
I don’t even have my own bike yet, fortunately my son is about the same height (at least for another week or two!), so I can just steal his until I pick something up. Since I’m a cheapskate, I’ll probably have repair questions once I do find something. Very glad to have found this place and all the knowledge here.
