Flats that repair themselves?
So I have not seen this thread...I have had a flat front and a flat rear tire at the end of long rides recently. After I pumped them up, they have both held air! There is not fix-a-flat or anything like that in my tires, just thicker and usual tubes and a flat plastic band in the tire. After 56 years of riding bikes, have 6 children and repairing numerous flats, I can't explain how both tires managed to "fix themselves.?" Can anyone explain this to me? Now I have everytyhing I need to fix my flats as I expect my luck to run-out!

Flats that repair themselves
In both cases the tires lost air while I was riding the bike, both tires were properly inflated when I started my bike ride. I was very surprised when I pumped them-up and they both held air! So no there is no one else that even lives with me, or touches my bike.

Presta valves? did not screw the little nut on the top, down & so the valve leaked?
tightening that secures the check valve, differential air pressure is all they use, otherwise.
Its Schrader . Auto Valve cores, that have a spring keeping the check valve shut..

Valve possibly was not fully seated. Could have been debris or bent or gummed up. Can happen to either type of valve.

Flats repairing themselves
It must be the valve stem since the tires were not damaged. Thank you for your help, I would not have ever figured this out on my own.
