Somewhere in the black hole I call a garage there's a cosmetically challenged 27.0 Sugino sp-kc post. If this interest you, I'll form a search party and try to find it.

I'm overloaded on handlebars and wheelsets and don't dig on brifters, but what I happen to have is one or more 25.4 alloy (and maybe steel) seatposts with a graveyard of Simplex RDs I can harvest pulleys from. I've sent a plethora of Simplex bits to other members on my dime in the past, don't mind sharing again. Would prefer trade or $$ on the seatpost, since they're a little tougher to find.

PS - I have some atom bits and a box full of steel parts, BMX and IGH, other random stuff. Let me find a link to the thread with pics. If you can more clearly tell me what you need, I can dig the box to see if I have it.

I have a box of AT's in the barn, and will see if any of them are 165 today or tomorrow.

Now DRietz I need a bit more info... I can make this one into an AT with a magic marker and few minutes. However if you modify the search terms a bit, this one is available:

It is a triple I got for someone here who said they didn't want it after all. It comes with 52, 40, 28 rings but will need bolts. If interested PM me. Smiles, MH

Thank you, gentlemen. Don't dig around the barn on my account - I think I got all sorted out over on Classic Rendezvous last night.

Though I am a bit jealous of the concept of a box of ATs...what a luxury!

Decades of bikes coming through the shop that were not worth or able to restore. I would take off the decent parts and store them in the top of the barn. Enter the earthquake of 2018 and 2/3rds of relatively sorted bike parts went from the top of the barn to a 6'x8'x8' pile in the bottom of the barn. Thank God the totes of freewheels stayed up there or there would be a crater.
I have just started to go through it all. There seems to be a number of AT cranks near the top of the pile.

Still looking for a trade on these handlebars.
Thanks to hazetguy for his offer.

Clamp diameter

About 80mm reach with typical 140mm drop. Slightly ergonomic bend.

43cm c-c wide. Some tape residue, and marring around the clamp.

I'm looking to trade these for a bar similar to the Nitto B135 randonneur style bar at least. If you have a shallow drop bar with a mid to short reach like a Nitto RM3, that's strongly preferred! I can make up a value difference with green, if needed.

$$ is easier on the seat post. Someone cut this one to under 3” and I can’t sell this bike on in good conscience like that.

The Atom part I need is the sort of small cylindrical “crossbar” bolt sized doodad that the cable attaches to — I’m sure there is a word for it. I was going to kludge one out of a bolt and several nuts since it’s more of a drag brake and I would maybe trust a kludge, but the right part would be infinitely better.

We have no internet so my phone is the family hotspot right now and living on my wife’s desk otherwise I’d go snap a pic. I can do so later tonight.

Cool. Post a pic here of the part later so I know what to look for in the big box, then PM me with what you need otherwise. I'll head to my workspace tomorrow if I can't find it in one of my bins here.

I think I know exactly where a suitable seat post is already. Definitely know where the jockeys are too.

ISO and for trade thread part 5

This is a question for francophile who mentioned having handlebars. I'm hoping to replace some 70's steel with lighter weight stuff. The bars pictured are i guess what's called shallow drop. These measure 38.5cm outside to outside at the caps so 40 or 42 would be OK. Diameter at the stem attachment is 25mm tapering to 23 overall. The seatpost is 25mm. Is this something you have in your stash? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please email to mediumsizedog@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Not sure if this will help, but I used the straddle cable anchor bolt from a set of MAFAC "Racer" brakes for that purpose on my similar Maillard drum brake hubs:

Hi Francophile and Others,
Am looking for the hex bolt used to mount Simplex rear derailleurs and hope that you might have one to spare. Happy to reimburse you via PP. Photos below show what I’m looking for. I think that the hex bolt might be universal for Simplex?
Thx!

ISO: skewer set for 100/126mm. Campy Record or something that looks like it (ofmega, miche, etc.).

.
@guelphite, you can also look for an old, less expensive SR Custom 2-bolt seatpost to complete your Record hardware. They mix/match.

Tempting complete front HF record hub for the price of a nice flat skewer, that would be one.
