Shwmae from lockdown
Shwmae (that's Welsh for how's it going) from Lockdown in Cardiff, Wales.
I've benefited a lot and gained knowledge from many threads on here over the years but never joined so here I am now.
I have three bikes, all pretty retro;
1971(ish) Dawes Star Celeste - started life as a cheapy 5 speed, bought circa 2011 for 50 quid on ebay and slowly upgraded over the years and now runs a campy 53-48 up from with a Shimano megarange 7 speed freewheel on the back to help me drag myself uphill
1973(ish) Raleigh Stowaway folder - Recent aquisition. So far upgraded the awful stock head set for an Mart threadless one, with quill adapter and drop bars + new alloy seatpost. Plans include new fork (with vee / canti bosses), alloy wheels and eventually swapping out the bottom bracket.
1950s Vindec Atlantic single speed - A proper clunker. Essentially theftproof because it looks so awful. Fun to pootle into town on and can be left anywhere, anytime and it's guaranteed to be there when I get back. Normally used when my other two bike are in various stages of disassembly!
Anyway, that's me!
