Greetings, Salutations and Such
Hello. My name is Richard, I ride bikes.
I have been riding since age 4, riding all over Galveston Island when kids could do that sort of thing. Haven't ever stopped. I have raced bmx and mountain bikes, commuted, done the charity and club rides, but now just ride around town for fun and errands. I have been part of MAMIL crowd, the fixie crowd but lately have gone the way of Grant Peterson.
I have at times worked as a bike mechanic, and for a while refurbished old bikes to sell.
I ride steel frames, maybe aluminum. I can respect a carbon frame but won't ride them or pay money for them. Prefer old bikes to new, lugs, down tube shifters and cloth bar tape make my toes curl.

Welcome to Bike Forums, RicardoDeGalvez! Toes curl... When I ride in a group with my down tube shifter bike, it makes the folks behind me toes curl. Every time I shift, they think I'm pointing out a hazard... Life goes on.

Welcome. There’s a big steel following here, especially in Classic and Vintage. Many won’t consider anything else.
