Help with bike stand exercise setup
Hi, first post. Sorry to be begging for info so soon. My wife's doctor said she should get a bike stand for some additional exercise. Luckily, my son had a Blackburn Ultra, but no manual.
Setting it up seems simple...but....the distance between the tire and the exercise weight is too small for the 26-inch wheel. The leg stand is set for 26 inches????
As I am new, I guess I am not allowed to post a picture. Any help with adjustments would be much appreciated. I can take it to a bike store, but really don't want to haul the bike and the stand if I can help it.
thanks, richg99

Ah.hahhh! My buddy came over. He unscrewed the adjustment (which I thought I had fully out) while I lifted the back tire.
Wham! It now fits. So, sorry to have bothered any of you. All fixed! Thanks, richg99

Nomad, I am happy to update y'all (I'm from Texas now!) about my wife's progress.
She's been on it every day since we put it up. She doesn't ride for long times but feels it has helped her get back onto the golf course. She had a muscle strain that the PT people worked on for 3 weeks. I think the stationary bike, using her own non-speed bike, has done more in a shorter time. Great product.

A friend gave me an old underused Cycleops trainer last summer while I was recovering from injuries. Best thing for staying in shape. I can hardly ever sit still and do just one thing, like watching TV or movies. So I combined bike trainer sessions and binge watching sci-fi shows I'd been wanting to watch anyway. By the time I was able to get out for road rides again I was still about 85% of my pre-injury fitness.
It's also great for regaining confidence. A friend suffered a debilitating arm injury last year when a free-range dog knocked her off her bike. But as much as the physical injury, she seemed to have lost confidence. She got an indoor trainer, then Zwift, joined a group suited to her abilities and after several months had regained her confidence and joy in cycling again. She's back on the road doing group rides with friends.
