Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hopefully soon.

I miss the beach and it's a long drive from Atlanta to the gulf coast.

Some shots from the final ride of my road trip through California. This was San Luis Obispo to Hi Mountain Road, a really nice out-and-back route through wineries and farmland, around Lopez Lake, and past several ranches. Toward the end, the road pitches up from reasonable to ridiculously steep, then levels out and abruptly ends. Made for a nice 40mph descent the other way. Stopped to say what's up to the horses on the ride back.

The one posted was reduced by 90% and looks just as good on my old monitor as the original full resolution pic.

Here it is at full resolution. It is 16MB. My friend said it looked stunning on his 43 inch 4k monitor. Amazing what a simple iPhone can do.

Cool place. But alligator(s)? No, thank you!

Pretty flat there, isn't it?
