Hey folks, a thrift store I passed by today was calling me in to have a look... Guess what I found... Another pair of my favorite cycling shoes; Detto-Pietro winter race shoes from the '60s -early '70s IN MY SIZE! The shop owner thought they were ladies bowling shoes... They had 'em priced a bit high at 16 bucks, but it was half off day! What's your latest cool find?

An 80's Ross Centaur that I cleaned up. 53cm. Cromo frame sticker but otherwise unspecified. Shimano light action 6 speed drivetrain. Avocet WSD gel saddle cause it's a PINK bike.

just found at auction for 9$ a Soma Competition. derailers front and back down tube shifter and crank are all shimano 600. brakes and single pull brake levers are suntour superbee. seat is italian made something starting with an M. back wheel is campagnolo hub with mavis rim.

Raleigh & a Motobecane
Picked up a Super Grand Prix and a Grand Jubilee for $10 apiece. Both need a little TLC but should clean up real nice. I'm not much of a Raleigh fan but couldn't pass it up. I'll probably dump the Raleigh but may keep the Moto to keep my two Le Champions company.

Just picked up a Blue Fuji S10-S (actually, a 12 speed)
Came with Nitto Stem and bars - with AERO brake levers (!), an extra set of (unused) Continental Gatorskins, coolio vintage chrome fenders front/rear, the usual Suntour gear, alloy rims, and a funky rack.
Chrome stays in the rear; Chrome fork up front... all in primo shape... a few dings on the down tube
$50
I'm going to work it up as my foul weather commuter. The freewheel gear range actually seems pretty useable. Failing that... it would make a nice single speed someday

Not a catch yet, just on the hook so to speak. A local estate auction has listed a Huffy Rail... sixtys vintage banana bike. I'm in tight with the auctioneer and asked him about it today. Say it is in the basement with some iron bed frames. Looks complete and good. He made a point of saying that the seat was intact.
My question... what would be a reasonable price to pay for this with hopes of flipping it for a profit. The eBay shows no recent closed auction.

Two catches for me, one I picked up yesterday and the other is a build I recently finished for someone else. Yesterday's CL find was a 1992 Bridgestone XO-3. This isn't the mustache bar XO-1 or XO-2 from around that time, but a bit of a middle-of-the-road hybrid. Still, the thing has barely a scratch or chip, and at 57cm fits me perfectly (and it's red!). It has 700c Araya rims and Shimano Exage components. I haven't done anything to it yet other than to wipe off the cobwebs.
The other bike is a late 80s Peugeot Canyon Express mtb set up as a single speed. A nice, lugged cromoly steel 57 cm frame, a decent wheelset off of a higher end mtb, front cantis and rear u-brake under the chainstays, a Surly singulator to keep things tense. The whole thing is about 24 lbs. It's a build for someone in exchange for a couple of bikes that I'll sell on CL.

$350-$400 is what you could possibly get for it, best case scenario in perfect C10 condition, and two buyers that both want it bad enough. Just my seat 'O' the pants guesstimate.,,,,BD

Found this one on the curb.Added a seat,battery for cyclometer,dusted it off.and pumped up the tires.Looks like it was ridden one season and then hung in the garage.My guess on year would be around 86/87 based on the Sprint non indexed derailleurs and aero levers.
It rides very nicely but steers a bit too quick for me and the paint is too flashy for my tastes.
